About the Role n
We're looking for a
Structural Engineer with around 3–5 years' experience
who is ready for more ownership, more variety and more direct involvement in their projects.
n
At this stage of your career, you've got the fundamentals. Now you want opportunities to use them.
n
You'll work across a varied portfolio of structural projects and be involved in the full project lifecycle — understanding the brief, developing design solutions, coordinating documentation, communicating with clients and consultants, attending site inspections and helping solve the inevitable challenges that come up during construction.
n
You'll work closely with our senior engineers and directors, but you'll also be trusted to make decisions, manage your own workload and increasingly take ownership of projects.
n

Tasks / Duties n
Your role will include:
n

Structural analysis,



modelling and design across a variety of building projects
n
Design of structural systems and elements using concrete, steel, timber and masonry
n
Developing concept and detailed structural solutions
n
Preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, sketches, reports and specifications
n
Working closely with our drafting team to produce clear and coordinated structural documentation
n
Coordinating with architects, builders, clients and project consultants
n
Undertaking site inspections and providing construction-stage engineering support
n
Managing your own projects and priorities with support from senior team members
n
Supporting and mentoring graduate engineers and junior team members
n
Identifying opportunities to improve design efficiency, constructability and value for our clients
n
Building strong, long-term relationships with the people we work with
n
Skills & Experience n
Ideally, you'll have:
n
n
A
Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
n
Approximately
3–5 years of structural engineering experience
n
Experience designing building structures across a range of materials and structural systems
n
Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and building codes
n
Experience with structural analysis and design software
n
Good understanding of documentation and construction processes
n
Strong technical and problem-solving skills to develop practical and buildable engineering solutions
n
Confidence communicating with clients, architects, builders and other consultants
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
Good organisation and the ability to manage competing project priorities
n
A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider team
n
Previous experience in an Australian consulting setting would be highly regarded.
