About the role: n
Multiplex
Casual
shift opportunities - looking for people with flexibility to cover a range of shifts: AM, PM and Nights - and commitment to consistently pick up
3 or more shifts per week
n




Be an integral part of the team at Uniting AgeWell
Bendigo - Strath-Haven
, offering person centred care to our residents.
n
Provide care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management, a level one registered nurse is responsible for a level of administrative responsibilities, including:
n
n
Deliver high quality nursing skills to residents and support their families, with consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
n
Complex needs require following skillsets n
n
catheter management incl. catheterization
n
palliative care incl. syringe driver management
n
wound management
n
identification and escalation of clinical deterioration
n
solid documentation skills with knowledge of ANACC
n
n
Provide leadership, support, orientation and education to Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care Assistants
n
Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management
n
About you: n
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential!
n
n
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Div 1
n
Experienced as a registered nurse in residential aged care/ home care (preferred)
n
Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
n
Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
n
n
