Chefs/Cooks/Kitchen

We are looking for staff for our Delacombe and Wendouree shops. Positions available: Sushi Maker, Kitchen Hand, and All-rounder.
Key responsibilities n
n
Prepare fresh sushi, sashimi and Japanese food items following store recipes and standards
n
Maintain clean and tidy work station
n
Comply with food safety and hygiene requirements
n
Assist with customer service during peak trading hours
n
General kitchen duties including dish washing, basic food preparation, cleaning kitchen and service areas
n
Stock rotation, waste disposal and maintain high hygiene standards
n
Support sushi makers and front-of-house team during busy shifts
n
About you n
n




Must be available to work weekends and public holidays (roster includes Saturday / Sunday)
n
Able to work in a fast-paced busy environment
n
Valuable personal hygiene
n
Valid Australian work rights (Visa / PR / Australian Citizenship)
n
Reliable, punctual and a good team player
n
Previous sushi-making experience is required (Sushi Maker role)
n
Prior hospitality experience is not required, a willingness to learn is essential (Kitchen Hand role)
n
Pay rate in accordance with the Fair Work award
n
