About the Role n
Based at our Tufting manufacturing site in North Geelong, this role reports to the Process Manufacturing Manager and works closely with the OHS Manager.
n
As the OHS Coordinator, you will provide practical OHS support across the site, partnering with managers, employees and operational teams drive a cultural change through coaching, training and monitoring the site safety requirements that will create safe work practices, support compliance and help drive a positive safety culture.
n
This is a full-time, on-site role.
Due to the operational and hands‐on nature of the position, there is no work-from-home flexibility.
What You'll Be Doing n
You will be involved in a broad range of OHS and operational support activities, including:
n
n
Workplace Health & Safety
n
Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of OHS policies, procedures and systems
n
Assist and coach Managers and Supervisors with incident reporting, investigations, and provide visibility and accountability of corrective actions through our Rapid Global database
n
Conducting and supporting workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments
n
Maintaining safety records, registers and reporting dashboards
n
Partnering with managers and team members to support OHS compliance and safe work practices
n
Coordinating safety initiatives, training, inductions and toolbox activities
n
Helping identify opportunities to improve safety processes and reduce workplace risk
n
Administration & Coordination n
n
Performing accurate data entry across OHS and manufacturing systems, including AS400, Rapid Global, Chemwatch and Power BI reports
n
Maintaining digital filing systems, databases and safety documentation
n
Preparing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
n
Providing general administrative support to the safety and operations teams
n
About You n
You may already be working in a safety role, or you may have strong operational experience with a genuine interest in building a career in WHS.
n
You will bring:
n
n
A Certificate IV in WHS is required
n
A practical understanding of WHS/OHS principles and relevant legislation
n
Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data and documentation
n
Clear and confident communication skills, particularly with operational teams
n
A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
n
The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy manufacturing workplace
n
Confidence using Microsoft Office and similar business systems
n
n
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys working with people, being visible on site and helping create a workplace where safety is understood, valued and lived every day.
