About the role n
You'll work closely with the owner and Head Chef, with genuine autonomy to run the café, lead the team and ensure our customers consistently receive a great experience.
n
This is a
hands-on management position
. You'll be leading from the floor, making coffee during service, supporting the team through busy periods and taking overall responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the café.
What we're looking for n
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys running a café and leading a team, while still being hands-on in service.

You'll ideally have:
n
n
n
Previous experience as a Café Manager, Venue Manager or experienced Assistant Manager
n
n
Strong senior barista skills
and confidence running a busy coffee service
n
n
Experience leading, coaching and developing a hospitality team
n
n
Excellent customer service and complaint-resolution skills
n
n
Strong organisational and communication skills
n
n
Experience with rostering, labour management, stock control and ordering
n
n
Commercial awareness and an understanding of café performance
n
n
Confidence managing staff performance and maintaining standards
n
n
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
n
n
High standards around cleanliness, presentation, coffee and service
n
n




The ability to work closely and collaboratively with the Head Chef
n
n
Reliability and a genuine sense of ownership for the venue
n
n
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is
present, calm and hands-on
- someone who can lead a busy service, support the team and make good decisions when the owner isn't onsite.
Hours & roster n
This is a
full time, approximately ***** hour position across five days
.

The intended roster is
Thursday to Monday
, including Saturday and Sunday.
n
As weekend leadership and coffee coverage are an key part of this position,
Saturday and Sunday availability is essential
.
