About the Role
Reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager, you will provide leadership across our perioperative services including Operating Theatre, Day Surgery, Anaesthetics and PACU/Recovery.
You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient and patient-centred care while fostering a positive workplace culture focused on continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
This role is ideal for a senior perioperative nurse leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with operational management and is motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine difference to both patient outcomes and staff experience.
As part of a supportive leadership team, you will have the autonomy to lead your department while contributing to broader organisational objectives and service development initiatives.
About You
We are seeking a confident and collaborative leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and supporting teams to perform at their best.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Significant perioperative nursing experience, including leadership or management experience
Strong clinical governance, workforce management and operational leadership skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Commitment to patient-centred care, quality improvement and developing high-performing teams
Previous Nurse Manager or equivalent senior leadership experience
Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing, Nursing Management and/or Health Management
