Lead Educator (Group Leader) — St Cecilia's Long Day Care & Kindy, Hamilton!
An exciting leadership opportunity has become available at St Cecilia's Long Day Care & Kindy in Hamilton, and it's available due to the internal growth of one of our own educators, which speaks volumes about the culture and career pathways we offer here.
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Lead Educator to guide our Junior Kindy room in delivering rich, play-based experiences that align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning for every child.
This is a permanent full-time position based in the beautiful suburb of Hamilton, within our charming heritage-listed centre that caters for up to 49 children.
You'll be supported with strong organisational backing across programming and quality practices, as well as genuine opportunities for professional development and growth.

With high ceilings, French doors, and polished timber floors, our service provides a comfortable, home-like space where children feel relaxed, safe, and truly at ease.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver a high-quality, inclusive, play-based educational program in the Junior Kindy room, aligned with the EYLF
Support children's learning, development,



and wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment
Guide and mentor fellow educators within your room, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
Utilise programming time to plan, document, and reflect on the educational program
Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and the wider community
Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare's values and educational philosophy
Participate actively in ongoing professional and personal development
Job Requirements:
Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA approved equivalent — essential for this role
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
A valid Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard
Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
Previous experience in a lead educator or room leader role is highly regarded
