The Ministerial Liaison Officer - Arts (MLO) is accountable for the development and maintenance of effective and efficient flow of information and responsive liaison services between the Department and the Deputy Premier's office by providing coordinated advice and assistance to the Deputy Premier, as Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Minister for Industrial Relations, Minister for Arts and Special Minister of State, and Ministerial office staff in relation to the activities of the department.
The role is required to develop and maintain high standard correspondence, expert advice and administrative processes and professionally presented ministerial documentation and must contribute to the delivery and maintenance of efficient work standards within the Deputy Premier's office.
Key responsibilities include:
Securing and enhancing the efficient and timely management of correspondence and briefings for the Deputy Premier's consideration, through establishment and maintenance of appropriate systems, procedures and relationships, processing evaluating and analysing reports and recommendations.
Undertaking duties of a sensitive and critical nature, dealing diplomatically with various stakeholders, including members of the public and other Government departments.
Undertaking research to keep informed of new developments, trends and issues in relation to the Minister's portfolio.




Ensuring Ministerial Correspondence and workflows are managed within required timeframes.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required
Participation in annual performance review and development
Actively participate in all mandatory training requirements
Abide by the standards in the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector (the Code)
Maintain a flexible approach to taking of leave
Intra-state and inter-state travel may be required
The incumbent may be required to be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the department
