Associate or Senior Associate - Public Liability n
The Opportunity
n
As an Associate or Senior Associate in our Public Liability practice in our Melbourne CBD office, you'll be on the frontline as we doggedly seek justice.
n
This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a role with genuine support and mentorship from an experienced Legal Practice Manager, alongside dedicated one on one experienced paralegal support.
n
We are looking for an experienced Public Liability Solicitor who is passionate about helping clients navigate challenging circumstances and achieve meaningful outcomes. You'll bring technical expertise, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to every matter, while playing an important role in mentoring and supporting junior lawyers across the team.
n
We are open to considering candidates seeking four days per week.
n

Provide clients with legal advice and representation to obtain compensation
n
Work across a variety of client matters that require a high level of sensitivity
n
Provide legal advice to each client's particular matter to suit their level of understanding
n
Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and managing the client's expectations
n
Draft legal documentation with a high degree of attention to detail
n
Manage and run a file load with a high level of commercial and fiscal awareness
n
Take an active role in working with and mentoring junior members of the team
n

What you'll bring
n
To thrive in this role, you'll have:

Prior public liability experience.
n
A Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate.
n
A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret the relevant legislation and legal documentation.
n
Enjoy working on legally challenging and factually complex matters
n
Maturity and confidence to deal with clients who may be experiencing trauma
n
A desire to be part of a robust, cohesive team that works together to get great results
n
An innate ability to question, challenge the status quo and always stay ahead of the pack.
