Are you an experienced healthcare leader with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes? Our client is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the operational functions of our clients private hospital based in Elderslie. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure seamless processes, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of patient care.
Your Key Responsibilities
Establish and nurture effective working relationships with internal staff including the Director of Nursing, Surgeons and Visiting Medical Officers, Administration staff, and Clinical staff to facilitate smooth communication and teamwork.
Lead, mentor, and support operational staff, fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Drive commercial outcomes by identifying opportunities to maximise hospital revenue, control costs, and ensure sustainable growth through informed operational decision‐making.
Implement and monitor processes to improve workflow, optimise resource allocation, and enhance patient and staff satisfaction.
Develop and review policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Manage budgets, oversee procurement, and maintain robust financial controls in collaboration with relevant teams.
Prepare reports, analyse performance data,



and make recommendations to leadership for strategic improvement.
Support risk management and quality assurance initiatives, identifying and addressing potential challenges proactively.
Selection Criteria
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in healthcare operations management having worked in either the public or private hospital system.
Solid business acumen with the ability to be commercial in your management decisions.
Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with a track record of building effective teams and fostering positive workplace culture.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‐solving skills; able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast‐paced setting.
Sound knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, procurement, and financial reporting.
Ability to adapt to change and drive innovation within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in healthcare management, business administration, or a related discipline are highly regarded.
