We are seeking a skilled
Fitter
to join our
Port Melbourne
team. This role is ideal for a hands‐on professional with strong mechanical expertise and experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
Afternoon shift:
Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What You'll Do:
Perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electro‐mechanical systems.
Carry out bearing fitting, V-belt maintenance, laser alignment, and general mechanical rebuilds.
Maintain and repair pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and press fittings.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment within a large‐scale manufacturing environment.
Qualifications & Experiences
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
FMCG Experience (highly regarded)
Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance




Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
Confident fault‐finding and diagnostic skills
Able to work independently and within a team environment
Safety‐focused with a commitment to quality
Forklift license, boom lift (over 11m) and scissor lift tickets (highly regarded)
Working at Heights certification (highly regarded)
First Aid certificate (highly regarded)
Basic Rigging ticket (highly regarded)
