THE ROLE
As a Policy and Program Officer in the Office for Women, you will play a key role supporting work to improve outcomes for Victorian women and girls.
You will help to develop policy and programs that drive cultural change and strengthen women's leadership, health and wellbeing, economic equity and safety.
The role requires you to be a proactive self-starter with an understanding of government processes.
You will be able to work in a complex, sensitive and fast-paced workplace.
You will support a range of projects and core portfolio functions, including managing and delivering programs, preparing written products, policy development and coordination tasks.
The role requires someone that is adaptable and resilient and who is committed to contributing to a professional and supportive work environment.

We are looking for a candidate that demonstrates strong program, policy, analytical and communication skills who can influence stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
Experience in social policy and administrating programs will be a strong advantage, along with experience in supporting the delivery of projects, programs, policy initiatives or business improvement activities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
* Prepare high quality briefings, correspondence,
cabinet submissions, advice and other written products.
* Contribute to the development, analysis and provision of advice and sound policy recommendations to senior management and government.
* Contribute to the full life cycle of projects and/or programs to meet departmental objectives including:
* Assisting in research, analysis and implementation of projects and/or programs based on defined outcomes and outputs.
* Supporting the development and delivery of projects and/or programs and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
