As a Float Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in supporting our construction operations by ensuring machinery and equipment are transported safely and efficiently across our projects.
Working in the civil construction industry means you'll regularly travel on remote and unsealed roads, requiring strong hazard awareness, sound judgment, and a commitment to protected work practices.
Transport civil construction machinery between project sites
Load, secure and unload plant and equipment safely
Operate float trucks, semi-trailers, belt feeders and tipper trucks
Assist with material spreading and road maintenance activities
Conduct pre-start inspections and daily vehicle checks
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as required
Diagnose breakdowns and assist with tyre changes when necessary
Comply with all NHVR, TMR and company safety requirements
Maintain accurate records and vehicle documentation
Must be based in Cairns and/ or surrounding regions
Current HC or MC Driver Licence
Construction White Card
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work away from home when required
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
