Job Description What You'll Be Doing You'll play a hands-on and visible role across the City, including: Responding to community safety requests, enquiries and complaints Enforcing local laws and relevant Acts (Dog, Cat, Bush Fires, Litter, Parking) Conducting proactive patrols of council buildings, parks, reserves and public spaces Managing and investigating animal‐related incidents Issuing parking infringements and encouraging positive compliance Delivering community education and awareness programs Using mobile tech and GPS systems to support your field operations Supporting the day‐to‐day functions of the Animal Care Facility Click here for the Position Description Qualifications What You'll Bring You're community‐minded, solutions‐focused and passionate about safety, service and teamwork.
You'll ideally have: A Certificate in Municipal Law Enforcement or relevant experience Experience in local government law enforcement Solid animal handling and management skills Excellent communication and conflict‐resolution abilities Confidence interpreting and applying local laws and policies Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) A current National Police Clearance (within 3 months) A current 'C' Class Driver's Licence Additional Information Why You'll Love Working Here Work Your Way:
