About the Facility The hospital operates four theatres and a 12-bed ward for overnight stays when required.
Ophthalmology makes up the main surgical workload, alongside a diverse range of other specialties.
The Role This is a permanent part-time opportunity for a nurse who can contribute confidently in the scrub/scout role and work across the hospital's two shift patterns, with starts at 6:30am and 11:00am.
In this role, you will: Scrub and scout for ophthalmic surgical lists Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments and equipment for each case Anticipate surgeon and procedural requirements during ophthalmic cases Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary theatre team Support safe, efficient patient flow across a busy day-surgery environment Contribute across other surgical specialties where your verified experience supports it What You Will Bring Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse At least one year of Scrub Scout nursing experience Demonstrable ophthalmic scrub/scout experience, essential Current eligibility to work in Australia Availability to work the required shift patterns, including the later 11:00am start National Criminal Record Check Working with Children Check Strong clinical judgement,
