About the Role
An exciting full-time, fixed-term opportunity (until 30 August ****) is available within the Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division for a VPS4 Project Advisor.
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised professional to provide administrative, project and contract management support for key assessment initiatives, including the Year 1 Numeracy Check and Progressive Achievement Tests in Mathematics and Reading.
The successful candidate will support the effective operation of the Digital Assessment Tools Unit and contribute to the delivery of assessment programs that support student learning and achievement across Victorian schools.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Support project and contract management, including monitoring deliverables, maintaining records and processing invoices and payments
* Contribute to advice to support senior executive decision making
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities and support timely project delivery
* Gain key evaluation adn procurement experience
* Maintain accurate project, contract and administrative records
* Undertake general administrative duties and other tasks as required

About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration.
The department plays an significant system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division (CTPD) is responsible for developing and supporting schools to implement the department's teaching and learning policies and providing curriculum implementation guidance to Victorian government schools.
CTPD draws on contemporary research and practice evidence to develop evidence-based teaching and learning policy reforms, co-design and implement initiatives to support schools to deliver high-quality teaching programs.
CTPD has primary responsibility for providing advice and implementation support to government schools to deliver the Victorian Curriculum.
CTPD currently has four branches:

* Curriculum and Professional Practice
* Literacy and Languages
* Mathematics, Science and Digital Learning
Across these branches, the key functions include:
* developing and communicating policies and guidance in areas such as curriculum planning, pedagogy, assessment and reporting, curriculum implementation (including languages education, Holocaust education, literacy instruction, mathematics and numeracy education), and artificial intelligence
* developing lesson plans and other classroom teaching and learning resources to support the implementation of departmental pedagogical settings and F-10 curriculum
* designing and delivering high-quality professional learning to build teachers' professional expertise in key pedagogical and curriculum areas
* developing and managing the Arc Platform and implementing high-quality teaching and learning software
* fostering student, family and community engagement through programs like the Premiers' Reading Challenge, Books in Prep Bags, and community language school
