About PSA Bank
Patient Services Assistants play a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the smooth operation of wards and departments through a variety of patient support, cleaning, food service and patient transport duties.
As a casual PSA Bank employee, you will submit your availability through Austin Health's electronic staffing platform and may be offered shifts across our various campuses and clinical areas.
The role includes a broad range of duties, including:
Assisting with meal service and pantry management
Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic patient environment
Transporting patients throughout the hospital
Assisting nursing staff with patient movement and handling
Restocking ward supplies
Supporting the day-to-day operations of clinical areas
Contributing to a positive patient experience through excellent customer service and teamwork.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Patient Services) or equivalent PSA qualification
A robust commitment to Austin Health values
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
A adaptable and positive attitude
The ability to prioritise work and demonstrate initiative




Physical capacity to undertake the full range of PSA duties
A willingness to work across different wards, departments and campuses.
