About the role
We are seeking a motivated and proactive
People & Culture Administration Officer
to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR, enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and is eager to contribute to meaningful organisational outcomes.
In this role, you will provide high‐quality administrative and operational support across the People & Culture Department. You will ensure HR data is accurate and up-to-date, support recruitment processes, and contribute to the smooth functioning of HR operations across Council.
Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture Department and associated committees
Respond to and elevate telephone and Teams enquiries promptly, offering accurate information to staff and members of the public
Manage the People & Culture email inbox, ensuring timely responses and distribution of correspondence
Enter and maintain HR data within Council's HRIS, and support employees with Self‐Service functions
Run reports to deliver accurate people-related data within agreed timeframes
Support employees and the public through recruitment processes
Administer and record police checks, Working with Children Checks, and pre‐employment medicals
Administer entry and exit surveys
Progress candidates through the recruitment system and assist with all recruitment functions
Process purchase orders and invoices for the department




Maintain stationery supplies and organise department catering
Exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive or confidential employee information
About You
You are someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high‐quality work. You bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in supporting people and organisational culture.
