Join the Gosford Mental Health Acute Care Team (ACT) within Central Coast Local Health District and play a vital role in supporting consumers, families and carers across the Central Coast community.
About the Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse – Acute Care Team, you will provide high-quality, person-centred mental health care, including clinical assessment, acute care, case management and crisis intervention.
This position plays a key role in providing timely, compassionate and evidence-based acute mental health care, crisis intervention and support to consumers, families and carers across the Central Coast community. In this role you will:
Provide expert mental health assessment, acute care, crisis intervention and case management.
Collaborate with consumers, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred care.
Coordinate timely, safe and evidence-based care to support positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
Contribute to quality improvement, professional development and the delivery of responsive mental health services.
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with relevant mental health clinical experience.
Recent experience in mental health assessment, acute care and crisis intervention.




Solid clinical judgement and a commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and safe, high-quality care.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Resilience, integrity and accountability, with a genuine commitment to person-centred care and supporting consumers, families and carers.
