The Opportunity

A fast-growing general insurance business is looking to appoint a Risk & Compliance Manager to play a key role in the continued development of its risk and compliance function.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business experiencing significant growth, with exposure across multiple insurance classes and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the ongoing uplift and development of the risk and compliance frameworks
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders across the business
- Provide practical advice on regulatory obligations, risk and control environments
- Lead risk profiling, control testing and compliance monitoring activities
- Support the identification, assessment and management of key risks and incidents
- Drive greater risk and compliance maturity across the organisation
- Manage compliance processes, reporting and governance activities
- Chair the Risk & Compliance Committee
- Support complaints, Internal Dispute Resolution and AFCA matters
- Develop and oversee compliance training and awareness initiatives

Key Requirements

- 5+ years' experience in risk and compliance within general insurance or an underwriting agency.
- Strong understanding of financial services and insurance legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience across risk profiling and control testing
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to provide practical,



business-focused advice
- Ability to work autonomously while building strong relationships across the business
