Metro South Health is seeking a Podiatrist to join the Prosthetic, Orthotic & Podiatry Services team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. This is an opportunity to work within a specialist multidisciplinary allied health service, delivering evidence-based podiatry assessment and management while collaborating with experienced clinicians across acute and rehabilitation services.

Your new role:
As a Podiatrist, you will manage an allocated clinical caseload and provide high-quality, patient-centred podiatry services across Princess Alexandra Hospital and Metro South Health. Working within an interprofessional team and with the support and professional guidance of senior clinicians, you will progressively apply independent clinical judgement to assessment, intervention, evaluation and discharge planning.
You will also have opportunities to contribute to clinical education, service improvement and research, supporting your continued professional development and the delivery of contemporary podiatry services.
About you:
We're looking for a Podiatrist who can demonstrate:
- The ability to deliver high-quality, efficient, patient-centred and evidence-based podiatry assessment and management.
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team.
- A commitment to developing clinical expertise through active learning and professional development.
- An interest in supporting the clinical education and training of students.
- The ability, or capacity to develop the skills, to contribute to local service development and improvement initiatives.

About us:
The Prosthetic, Orthotic & Podiatry Services Department is a multidisciplinary allied health service providing specialist clinical, technical and consultancy services to acute and rehabilitation services at Princess Alexandra Hospital. The department also coordinates the Princess Alexandra Hospital Amputee Clinic, High Risk Podiatry Foot Service and Chronic Foot Care Clinic, providing an environment where you can work alongside experienced podiatry, prosthetic and orthotic professionals.
