About the role
Join Team Melbourne as a Swim Teacher and play a vital role in helping our community develop essential water safety and swimming skills. In this hands-on role, you'll deliver engaging and inclusive swim programs that support participants of all ages and abilities to build confidence in the water.
A little more about the role
- Deliver group, private and school swimming lessons in line with recognised aquatic education programs
- Maintain a secure, supportive and engaging learning environment for all participants
- Promote water safety awareness and uphold Swim School program standards
- Provide excellent customer service to students, families and facility users
- Contribute to program quality through accurate record keeping and collaboration with team members

You're passionate about water safety and creating positive, engaging learning experiences. You bring strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
You thrive in a team environment, take pride in maintaining safe aquatic spaces, and are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for the community.
What your experience might look like - Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience delivering swimming lessons in a safe and inclusive environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse participants
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and contribute to program delivery
- Sound understanding of health and safety requirements in aquatic settings
- Commitment to high-quality customer service and continuous improvement
- Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification
- Current CPR certificate
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
