DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Solution Designer to join a Federal Government client.

The Solution Designer will provide specialist technical design expertise to support the delivery of complex ICT solutions across programs and projects.
Working within multidisciplinary ICT delivery teams, the role will translate business requirements, solution architecture and technical requirements into detailed, implementable solution designs. The successful candidate will work closely with solution architects, developers, engineers, integration specialists, data specialists, testers and business stakeholders to ensure solution components work effectively together and meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions, producing detailed solution design documents and artefacts, and conducting walkthroughs and handovers.
- Define technical requirements and non-functional aspects of complex, high-volume enterprise solutions, including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, recoverability and security.
- Participate in governance and technical forums, including presenting and reviewing solutions for endorsement by senior executives in line with key architectural principles and patterns.
- Ensure solution designs follow defined Salesforce CRM architecture, product roadmaps, best practices and organisational architectural principles.
- Work within an Agile product team, providing guidance and support to developers, testers, Business Analysts and production support teams as required.




- Describe and illustrate solution designs with appropriate rationale and justification.
- Work within a scaled Agile framework (SAFe), contributing to planning and delivery ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART and sprint planning.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to deliver higher-quality and faster outcomes.

Essential Criteria

- 3-5 years' experience in a Solution Architect role delivering complex Salesforce projects.
- Demonstrated architectural knowledge across various Salesforce Clouds and industry solutions, with strong practical experience in Salesforce and Vlocity/OmniStudio.
- Demonstrated experience designing non-functional aspects of solutions, including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, recoverability and security.
- Demonstrated experience in system integration design and patterns, integrating Salesforce with a range of technologies and enterprise solutions.
- Ability to perform hands-on prototyping and proof of concepts (POCs) to provide early feedback on proposed solutions.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and clearly articulate solutions, risks and technical considerations.

Desirable Criteria

- Relevant Salesforce Architect certification(s).
- Experience and enthusiasm for accessible design and development,



with an understanding of accessibility considerations.
