About the Opportunity
Drive high-impact change by maturing digital initiatives from concept and business case development through to full implementation readiness within a secure Federal Government environment.
Play a critical role in establishing robust governance frameworks, uplifting organizational capability, and supporting complex, cross-cutting portfolio initiatives across the care economy.
What's on Offer
Contract/Engagement: Initial 12-month contract + 12-month extension option.
Location & Flexibility: Canberra, ACT (Hybrid / Flexible working options available).
Role & Responsibilities
Establish and uplift fit-for-purpose governance arrangements, delivery frameworks, reporting processes, and assurance activities to support successful initiative mobilisation.
Develop and maintain key project and governance artefacts, including implementation plans, governance documentation, risk registers, and executive briefing materials.
Provide expert advice and guidance on project governance, implementation planning, and investment development to strengthen organisational capability.
Coordinate implementation readiness activities to ensure proper governance, resourcing, risk management, and transition arrangements are in place prior to delivery.
Partner with stakeholders across business, policy, digital,
and delivery teams to facilitate collaboration, resolve challenges, and meet whole-of-government digital standards.
Prepare high-quality reports, executive briefings, presentations, and governance papers to support senior executive decision-making and oversight.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
Technical Toolkit: Strong proficiency with project management frameworks, governance templates, risk/issue registers, business case development, and digital governance standards (e.g., Digital Experience Policy).
Experience: Proven track record supporting significant government reform initiatives, including familiarity with Government budget processes, gateway reviews, and audit processes.
Core Capabilities: Exceptional written and oral communication skills tailored for senior executive audiences, along with strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities in complex environments.
Eligibility & Clearance Requirements
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this setting, candidates must hold a current Baseline security clearance.
