National Workforce is partnering with a leading Australian food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their maintenance team at their Revesby site. This is an excellent prospect for a hands-on electrician looking to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to a broad range of electrical, mechanical and automation systems.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment across a busy production facility. The role requires a proactive person who enjoys problem-solving and is comfortable supporting all aspects of site maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery.
- Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, variable speed drives (VSDs) and control systems.
- Maintain pumps, motors, sensors, solenoids and process equipment.
- Complete maintenance work orders and associated documentation.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and complies with relevant regulations and site procedures.
- Liaise with production, quality, contractors and internal stakeholders to minimise downtime.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
- Current NSW Electrical Licence (essential).
- Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, pharmaceutical or similar industrial environments.
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience working with PLCs, instrumentation and automated production equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Flexible approach to maintenance activities and team support.
Highly Regarded
- Food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Exposure to packaging machinery and automated production lines.
- Experience working across both electrical and mechanical maintenance disciplines.
