Murgon Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a four-week contract role across the wards, running from 28 September to 25 October 2026. This is a varied rural nursing position that combines ward care, emergency response, and clinical leadership experience. Based in regional Queensland, the role offers up to 80 hours per fortnight with travel costs from Brisbane capped at $200 each way, making it an accessible chance for nurses looking to expand their rural practice.

Preferred Requirements





- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation qualification
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing, triage, and cannulation
- Proven rural and remote nursing experience with team leader capability
- Availability for on-call duties as required

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate or specialist qualification in emergency or rural nursing
- Formal team leadership or clinical educator training
