About the Company

Our client is a growing retail business with a strong focus on product, customer experience and commercial performance.
Due to continued growth, they have created a new Merchandise Allocator position to take ownership of the allocation and replenishment function across their store network and Ecommerce channel.

About the Role

Reporting into the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Allocator to have genuine ownership and help build the processes behind the role.
You'll be responsible for making sure the right stock gets to the right store, in the right quantities and at the right time.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Managing initial allocations of styles, quantities and size profiles across stores
- Planning and maintaining Ecommerce stock availability
- Reviewing sales, stock on hand, weeks of supply, sell-through and size availability to identify replenishment requirements
- Developing size curves and purchase order size profiles
- Identifying opportunities for inter-store and store-to-Ecommerce transfers
- Monitoring fast sellers, slow sellers, overstock, understock, broken size runs and potential stock-outs
- Developing opening stock recommendations for recent stores
- Coordinating allocations for product launches, seasonal releases and trade events
- Reviewing the performance of allocations, replenishment and transfers
- Building and maintaining Excel-based allocation tools, processes and controls




- Identifying opportunities to improve allocation rules and automate processes

Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone with previous experience in Merchandise Allocation, Inventory or a similar role who is confident working with numbers and large amounts of data.

You'll ideally have:

- Previous experience in a Merchandise Allocation or Inventory role
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Good understanding of stock, sales, sell-through, weeks of supply and replenishment
- Experience working across store and Ecommerce inventory
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to turn data into practical commercial decisions
- Experience developing or improving Excel tools, reports or processes
- A proactive approach to finding better and more efficient ways of working
