About the opportunity

The Library and Cultural Collections team provides an inclusive and team-oriented environment where diverse knowledge systems support learning, teaching and research. Learning and Research Librarians design and deliver resources, services and learning support that enhance information literacy and meet the needs of students, staff and researchers across a broad range of disciplines and scholarship levels, from pre-degree learners to senior researchers. - Guide effective use of specialised literature sources throughout the research lifecycle, to underpin research excellence.
- Develop and advocate open scholarship initiatives which ensure equitable access to information.
- Provide specialised support to a diverse university community, ensuring that the community-specific needs are considered, respected, and included in all library services.

What we're looking for:

- Experience with scholarly sources and publishing practices across a wide range of disciplines and ability to explain and recommend the relevance of these for different levels of scholarship.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging, respectful and accessible learning experiences for student and research success informed by relevant pedagogy, standards and frameworks.
- Understanding of 'user experience' principles, and skills to apply these to ensure programs and initiatives evolve to meet changing client needs.
- Demonstrated adaptability in using emerging technologies applicable across business practices and for service delivery.
- Academic library experience.
