Location: Booragoon office during design phase with regular site visits to a mine site. Full-time onsite during construction | Dwellingup.
Rate:$90-$120 per hour + Super (Depending on Experience)
Duration: Initial 12-month contract with robust extension potential

Lead Major Mining Infrastructure Projects from Design Through Construction An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of major mining infrastructure projects across design, engineering, construction and site execution activities.

This role will play a key part in delivering mining infrastructure projects including bulk earthworks, haul roads, surface drainage and mining support infrastructure. The successful candidate will initially be involved in design and design management activities before transitioning into a site-based construction role.

Who We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:

- Mining industry experience
- Bulk earthworks design and construction experience
- Haul road design and construction experience
- Surface drainage and sump design experience
- Design management and engineering design capability
- Practical site-based construction experience
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, operational stakeholders and contractors
- Must currently live south of the river or be willing to relocate
- Must be based in Western Australia and have full Australian work rights!!!

Key Responsibilities




- Manage civil engineering activities across mining infrastructure projects
- Review and coordinate engineering designs and technical deliverables
- Provide technical leadership across bulk earthworks, haul roads and drainage infrastructure
- Support project planning, construction execution and contractor management
- Monitor project progress, safety, quality and delivery performance
- Conduct site inspections and provide practical engineering support during construction
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and operational stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Highly Regarded
- Experience across large-scale mining infrastructure projects
- Combination of consulting/design and construction delivery experience
- Brownfield mining project experience
- Contractor management experience
- Civil engineering leadership within operational mining environments

Qualifications
- Degree qualified Civil Engineer
- Approximately 5-20 years' experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil works within mining environments
