Our client partners with leading architects, interior designers, lighting designers and developers to deliver exceptional lighting outcomes across premium residential, hospitality, workplace and commercial projects.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the intersection of architecture, design and project specification.

As an Account Manager / Business Development Manager, you will work closely with architects and interior designers to help shape the lighting selections behind some of Brisbane and Queensland's most exciting design projects.

Rather than transactional sales, this role focuses on building relationships, influencing specifications and winning projects through the A&D; community.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and maintaining relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, Lighting Designers and Developers
- Winning project specifications across residential, hospitality, workplace and commercial developments
- Presenting premium architectural lighting collections to leading design studios




- Managing projects from initial concept and specification through to completion
- Leveraging your industry network to generate new opportunities and partnerships
- Identifying projects early and working with designers throughout the specification process
- Collaborating with internal technical and project teams to deliver successful project outcomes
- Acting as a trusted lighting and design resource within the architectural community

The Rewards

- $115K - $125K + Super + $15K Car Allowance + Bonuses for candidates coming from the broader A&D; specification market
- Up to $135K + Super + $15K Car Allowance + Bonuses for candidates bringing relevant architectural lighting experience

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who already operates within the A&D; specification space and understands how projects are won through design relationships.

You may currently work in:

- Architectural or Decorative Lighting
- Designer Furniture
- Architectural Surfaces / Tiles / Stone
- Bathware / Tapware




- Flooring or Joinery Products
- Commercial Furniture
- Architectural Finishes
- Any premium specification-based product sold into Architects and Interior Designers

Lighting experience is not essential. We are equally interested in strong specification sales professionals from complementary architectural and interior product categories who already have relationships within the Brisbane A&D; market.

For candidates with direct architectural lighting experience and an established A&D; network, the client can offer a higher remuneration package of up to $135K + Super.

To succeed in this role you will have:

- A strong network within the Architectural & Interior Design community
- Proven success winning project specifications
- Experience developing relationships with architects, interior designers and other design professionals
- A consultative approach focused on relationships and design outcomes
- Strong presentation and communication skills when engaging with design practices
- The ability to identify opportunities and manage a project pipeline
- A driven, ambitious mindset and genuine passion for architecture and design

Most importantly, you will be someone who thrives in the A&D; space and enjoys working closely with architects and designers to influence projects.
