The Opportunity:
- Full-Time | Ongoing contract of employment.
- PW5 $79,270 - $85,278 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Moorabbin Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.
The Faculty of Health Science, Community & Social Studies provides a supportive and innovative learning environment across health, science and community services. With strong industry partnerships, the Faculty delivers practical, industry-focused education and professional placements that prepare students for successful careers.
The Faculty Practical Placement Coordinator provides key coordination and operational support to help deliver clinical and professional placements across the Faculty. As a primary point of contact, you will coordinate placement activity, work with students, staff and external providers, oversee placement documentation and compliance, support Placement Administrative Officers, and contribute to improved placement processes and service delivery.
As Faculty Practical Placement Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate and secure clinical placements, liaising with providers to confirm availability and allocating students based on placement requirements and learning needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare and community organisations, students,
staff and other placement stakeholders.
- Oversee placement documentation, risk assessments and student compliance requirements, working with Placement Administrative Officers to maintain service standards.
- Maintain accurate placement records and verify placement-related financial documentation, including facilitator and provider invoices, prior to approval.
- Prepare routine reports and contribute to improvements in placement administration, compliance, efficiency and service delivery.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Demonstrated understanding of nursing placement requirements and the vocational education workplace.
- Experience coordinating clinical placements, supporting students, and building industry partnerships.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases and student management systems, with confidence using business and reporting systems.
- Experience establishing, maintaining and improving administrative systems, workflows and record management processes in a complex environment.
- Sound knowledge of student enrolment, administration and placement processes, including the VET environment, quality assurance and compliance requirements.
- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities accurately and build respectful stakeholder relationships.
- Relevant qualifications in nursing, business administration or a related discipline, or a suitable combination of qualifications and experience.
WWCC and Police Check:
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
