About the role
The position involves working Thursday to Monday across lunch and dinner shifts in a busy pub and bistro kitchen, serving quality pub meals to the local community and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking consistent, high-quality meals
- Assisting with daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Managing your section during busy lunch and dinner services
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Monitoring stock levels and minimising food waste
- Working closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Assisting with functions, specials and menu preparation as required
- Cleaning dishes as required
About you
- A recognised commercial cookery qualification
- Previous experience working in a pub, bistro or similar commercial kitchen
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills
- The ability to remain organised during busy services
- A good understanding of food safety requirements
- Availability to work Thursday to Monday including lunch and dinner shifts
- Full Australian working rights
