About the role:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial contracts.Advising on research, collaboration, funding and commercialisation agreements.Providing practical legal advice across a broad range of commercial and research matters.Managing commercial and research-related disputes and proceedings.Engaging and overseeing external legal providers on complex matters.Identifying and managing legal,



operational and reputational risk.Supporting compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and internal policies.Developing legal precedents, templates and resources for internal stakeholders.Delivering training and guidance on legal obligations and risk.
The ideal candidate:
At least 7 years' PQEDemonstrated expertise across commercial contracts and advisory matters.Experience in intellectual property, research contracts or commercialisation matters, which would be highly regarded.Solid drafting, negotiation and legal risk identification skills.The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and manage competing priorities.Confidence advising senior executives and working with a broad range of internal stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
