This is a part time contractor role for someone who enjoys teaching children and can explain technical ideas in a simple, practical and engaging way.Work arrangementContractor role paid at AUD $30 to $35 per hour.Part-time schedule, 2 to 3 days per week.Approximately 6 to 8 teaching hours per week, with potential for additional hours based on class demand.In-person classes in Melbourne, Victoria.ResponsibilitiesTeach Arduino, coding, electronics, robotics and STEM activities to children aged 8 to 12.Prepare simple project-based lessons and classroom activities.Create a safe,



positive and age-appropriate learning workplace.Keep students engaged through practical demonstrations and hands-on projects.Communicate student progress and classroom feedback when required.Adjust lessons based on student age, ability and class performance.RequirementsExperience teaching, tutoring, mentoring or coaching children.Knowledge of Arduino, coding, robotics, electronics or STEM education.Patient, energetic and explicit communication style.Reliable availability for 2 to 3 days per week.Ability to work as a contractor.Nice to haveExperience teaching students aged 8 to 12.Experience preparing project-based technology lessons.Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one.PayAUD $30 to $35 per hour.
