Personal Care Support Worker – Lanara, Sydney Wide

The Role

As a Personal Care Support Worker with Lanara, you'll provide hands-on, person-centred care in clients' own homes and in the community. You'll help clients with the everyday tasks that matter most to their comfort and wellbeing, always in a way that protects their dignity and respects their choices and routines.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing personal care, including showering, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming and oral hygiene
- Helping with meal preparation, mealtime support and hydration
- Prompting and reminding clients to take their medication as part of their daily routine
- Supporting light domestic tasks such as laundry, bed-making and keeping living spaces clean and safe
- Noticing and reporting any changes in a client's health, mobility or wellbeing
- Assisting clients to attend appointments and take part in community activities
- Keeping clear, accurate shift notes and communicating professionally with management

About You

- Is comfortable providing intimate personal care with sensitivity, respect and professionalism
- Leads with compassion, patience, integrity and accountability
- Is reliable, punctual and a strong communicator with excellent listening skills
- Pays close attention to detail and follows safe work practices
- Can work independently and as part of a team, and adapts to each client's unique and changing needs

Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability or Ageing), Disability or Community Services, or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Science, Psychology, Social Work or a related field (completed or currently studying)
- A current Police Check which is no older than 3 months
- Working With Children Check – optional
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle is essential
- Experience is welcomed but not required – training and support are provided
