Operations Planning & Compliance Manager

Gather By is seeking an experienced Operations Planning & Compliance Manager to coordinate the planning, systems and compliance that keep our growing food-manufacturing business running smoothly.

This is a permanent 4-day-per-week role based in Ballina, covering production planning, inventory and purchasing, materials readiness, food and export compliance, logistics and operational systems.

The role works closely with our Warehouse Manager and Production & Dispatch Supervisor, who lead physical warehouse operations and day-to-day production and dispatch execution.

The objective is simple: make sure the work is properly planned, materials are ready, compliance is in place and the team is ready to execute before production begins.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain production schedules and work orders
- Coordinate production priorities against sales orders,



export requirements and stock needs
- Forecast honey, packaging and consumable requirements and coordinate purchasing and supplier orders
- Coordinate bulk honey forecasting, receival records, laboratory testing, certificates and results
- Maintain inventory systems and reconcile operational records with physical stock
- Ensure honey, labels, packaging and other materials are ready before production is scheduled
- Maintain batch records, traceability and document control
- Coordinate HACCP, B-QUAL, Halal, DPI and other applicable food-compliance requirements
- Coordinate compliance and documentation for new and existing export markets
- Coordinate domestic and international freight and 3PL requirements
- Monitor DIFOT and provide weekly operational reporting
- Coordinate WHS documentation, SOPs and continuous improvement
- Identify supply, production and compliance risks early and coordinate solutions

About you

You may come from food manufacturing, FMCG, production planning, quality/compliance, inventory or logistics. We're more interested in practical capability and good systems thinking than a particular job title.

You will ideally bring:

- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a related regulated setting
- Strong production planning, inventory,



purchasing and systems capability
- Experience with HACCP, food safety, quality systems, traceability and/or audits
- Strong attention to detail and disciplined record keeping
- The ability to anticipate problems rather than react to them
- Confidence coordinating suppliers, laboratories, freight providers and internal teams
- A practical, organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Export or international logistics experience would be highly regarded
