We have some exciting news. Sage x Clare is opening a flagship store on Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, one of Melbourne’s most-loved creative strips, and we're looking for a Store Manager to lead it from day one.

This is a rare opportunity to open a brand new store and make it your own. Designed to showcase our full range of bedding, textiles, homewares and lifestyle pieces, the Fitzroy store will be a true home for the Sage x Clare brand, and you'll be the person who brings it to life.

Working closely with our Owner and Head Office team, you'll lead the store through opening, from stock set-up and merchandising to recruiting and onboarding your team alongside your 2IC. Once we're trading, you'll own the day-to-day: leading the floor, building rosters, coaching your team, managing stock and making sure every customer has an experience worth coming back for.

You'll also drive the commercial side of the store, keeping an eye on sales and KPIs, spotting opportunities to grow, and getting out into the local community to make the Fitzroy store part of the neighbourhood.

About You

You'll be perfect for this role if you're a hands-on leader who leads by example, loves the detail and has a natural eye for styling. You enjoy coaching people, you're comfortable with numbers and you stay calm and organised when things get busy.

You'll bring:

- 3-5 years' experience in retail store management (homewares, lifestyle or fashion highly regarded)
- A track record of leading and developing high-performing retail teams
- Experience managing rosters, budgets, stock and visual merchandising
- Confidence reading sales reports and turning them into action
- A strong eye for styling, presentation and brand standards
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine love of customer service




- Availability across a seven-day trading roster, including weekends

Bonus points if you have:

- Experience opening a recent store
- Experience with community activations or in-store events
- A genuine interest in homewares, textiles and interiors

This is an in-store role based at our Gertrude Street, Fitzroy store. Weekend availability is required, and we'll work through a roster that provides leadership coverage alongside the 2IC.
