Position Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Advisor works within a small People and Culture team to deliver end-to-end recruitment services across the department. The role partners with hiring managers and key stakeholders to attract, select, and onboard high-quality candidates using PageUp (HRIS), ensuring a candidate-centric, merit-based hiring experience that aligns with departmental policies and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Recruitment & Stakeholder Management

- Partner with business leaders and hiring managers to scope clear, fit-for-purpose assignment briefs and manage the full recruitment lifecycle following an agreed methodology.

- Guide, educate, and support line managers to make merit-based hiring decisions at every stage.

- Assist with longlisting, shortlisting, phone screening, interview scheduling, interview guide preparation, and panel selection assistance.

System & Compliance Workflows

- Utilize PageUp (HRIS) to log position requisitions, execute selection workflows, facilitate offers, and manage onboarding processes.

- Facilitate pre-employment screening, including functional assessments, qualification verifications, visa checks, Police Checks, and Working with Children Checks (WWCC).

- Maintain fair, transparent,



and compliant record-keeping practices in line with relevant legislation and policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement

- Partner with People and Culture Senior Business Partners, Injury Management, and Payroll to share insights and align recruitment/onboarding needs.

- Identify opportunities to optimize recruitment processes and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with broader People and Culture strategies.

- Deliver customer-centric service to improve the overall candidate experience and elevate the department's employer brand.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

Essential & Desirable Qualifications

- Education: Graduate qualifications in Business Administration or Human Resources are highly desirable.

- HRIS Systems: Proven experience with HRIS recruitment workflows; hands-on experience with PageUp is highly desirable.

- Industry Experience: Prior recruitment experience within local government, the public sector, or a regulated, quick-paced corporate environment.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of contemporary recruitment practices, anti-discrimination laws, and equal employment opportunity (EEO) standards.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to influence, advise, and consult with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and report-writing skills.

- Strong focus on candidate care and customer service excellence.
