Action on Disability within Ethnic Communities – Morang VIC
ADEC is seeking Greek, Italian, or Arabic-speaking Support Workers in Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. This is a Casual role with flexibility in scheduling to support the needs of our clients who needs support at home through short shifts.
What you'll be doing
Providing personal care and support to older people.
Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation.
Engaging clients in social and recreational activities to improve their quality of life.
Advocating for client needs and communicating with family members and healthcare providers.
Maintaining accurate client records and documentation.
What we're looking for
Greek , Italian , or Arabic language proficiency.
Conversational level English language fluency is required.
Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
Experience providing care and support to older people or clients with disabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and a commitment to client-centred care.
A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
