Role Description

The Gaming Attendant role is a casual, on-site position based at in Rochedale South, QLD. Gaming Attendants support guests in the gaming area by providing friendly, professional service, explaining game features where appropriate, and ensuring a safe, compliant environment. Day-to-day tasks include processing transactions, assisting with member inquiries, monitoring machine operations, and maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards in gaming and adjacent areas. The role also involves checking identification and membership details, following responsible gambling guidelines, and working closely with other team members and supervisors to deliver a positive guest experience. Evening, weekend,



and public holiday shifts may be required to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

- Customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to engage guests in a respectful, friendly, and skilled manner.
- Cash handling and point-of-sale experience, including accuracy in processing payments and reconciling transactions.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn gaming operations and responsible gambling practices, including compliance with relevant regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with colleagues and respond effectively to guest inquiries or concerns.
- Attention to detail and reliability in following procedures, maintaining venue presentation, and adhering to safety standards.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual tasks as part of daily venue operations.
- Previous experience in clubs, pubs, or entertainment venues, and possession of relevant certifications (such as Responsible Service of Gambling and Responsible Service of Alcohol) are highly regarded.
