Best Restaurant Training is a registered training organisation that has been delivering hospitality training throughout Victoria for twenty years. We are looking for a Responsible service of alcohol trainer to join our team to deliver SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol and Victorian RSA accredited by Liquor Control Victoria. The successful candidate will be based in Melbourne and prepared to travel throughout Victoria to deliver RSA classes.
All courses are on site at different locations throughout both metro and regional Victoria. Courses run both during the day and in the evening depending on the needs of the client.
Our students are across a wide range of age groups and demographics, and we expect the successful candidate to be able to accommodate this. They are expected to be engaging as a presenter throughout the delivery of the program and not just go through the motions.
There is an expectation that trainers liaise with the various clients involved in the booking of courses and ensure the session runs smoothly. This will include arriving to the session with plenty of time to spare, communicating with key personnel on the day, setting up of AV equipment and ensuring the delivery location is set up in a manner conducive to successful training.
The successful candidate should also possess strong administration skills and be able to administer assessment in a professional manner.
Upon completion they are expected to collate the required paperwork to forward to the Training Manager in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities
Liaise with organisers of the training on the day and ensure the training environment is appropriate for the delivery of the program
Deliver engaging, practical and industry-relevant training for hospitality students
Adapt training delivery to accommodate different learning abilities, experience levels and support needs
Provide clear explanations and instructions to students
Incorporate real-world workplace examples and scenarios into training
Maintain a positive, inclusive and qualified learning environment
Conduct valid, fair, reliable and flexible assessment
Provide constructive feedback to students
Compile relevant paperwork relating the course and forward to Training Manager in a timely manner
About you
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an accepted equivalent
SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol qualification
Victorian RSA certificate accredited by Liquor Control Victoria including the Sexual Harassment and Assault module
Be listed as an accredited RSA trainer on Liquor Control Victoria database
Have at least three years experience working in hospitality venues serving alcohol
Experience in delivering vocational education and training
