TJ'S Po Boy is looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Cook to join our kitchen team in Sydney fish market

Located at Sydney fish market, TJ'S Po Boy is a riverside venue serving lunch and dinner seven days a week.

We're looking for a Cook who takes pride in great food, works well under pressure and enjoys being part of a hardworking kitchen team.

The Role:

You'll work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen across restaurant service and events.

You'll be responsible for:

- Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
- Working across our breakfast, lunch and weekend dinner services
- Assisting with preparation and service during busy periods
- Supporting the kitchen team with weddings, functions and events
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented to venue standards
- Maintaining strong food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
- Keeping workstations clean, organised and well maintained
- Following recipes, portion controls and kitchen procedures
- Assisting with stock rotation, storage and general kitchen organisation




- Working efficiently and collaboratively during service
- Assisting with cleaning and closing-down procedures as required
- Contributing to a positive and qualified kitchen setting

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience working in a commercial kitchen or similar environment
- Is confident working in a busy kitchen
- Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality
- Takes pride in quality, consistency and presentation
- Is reliable, punctual and flexible with their availability
- Can remain calm and focused under pressure
- Has a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures
- Is a positive and hardworking team player
- Is hands on and willing to assist wherever needed
- Enjoys working across both restaurant service and events
- Is keen to learn and develop their skills
