About the role

The Radiation Therapy Graduate Recruitment program allows graduate radiation therapists who complete their degree between June 2026 and December 2026 to apply for NSW Health jobs through a single application process. As a part of this pilot program, applicants may be considered for multiple positions across participating NSW Health services.

Positions are full-time temporary for 12 months, with the possibility of ongoing employment.

We are looking for Radiation Therapists to deliver safe, high-quality radiation therapy across simulation, treatment planning,



treatment delivery and patient care as an accredited practitioner. You will contribute to radiation therapy simulation, treatment planning and treatment delivery in accordance with clinical protocols and Radiation Oncologist prescriptions, while providing patient-centred care throughout the treatment journey. The role also includes participation in quality improvement activities, multidisciplinary team collaboration, and maintaining the highest standards of radiation safety for patients, staff and visitors. We are seeking motivated and patient-focused Radiation Therapists who are committed to delivering high-quality care and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. You will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, a commitment to professional development and a willingness to contribute to service improvement and innovation.

Radiation Therapist, Level 2, starting salary from $82,250 - $113,302 p.a. plus Super, with a 35-hour work week, work location-to be determined based on site allocation.

What you will be doing

As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for performing pre planning scans, designing and optimising high-quality treatment plans, and ensuring accurate delivery of Radiation Therapy based on the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. You will provide patient-centred care, educate patients throughout their treatment journey, and maintain detailed and accurate records.

Additionally, you will:

- contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- uphold the highest standards of radiation safety for patients, staff, and visitors.

To be eligible for this role you must:

- Hold or be eligible for general registration with the MRPB of Australia as a radiation therapist
- Have current or eligibility for IA13 and S13 Radiation User Licence (NSW EPA licence.) or Equivalent Radiation Licence as recognised by the Automatic Mutual Recognition Scheme
- Have completed your radiation therapy qualification between June 2026 and December 2026
