Our client is a well established investment management business, distributing a range of domestic and global investment solutions to institutional and sophisticated investors. With a growing client base, an chance now exists for an experienced operations professional to step into a senior role within their Brisbane based Investment Operations team.

Reporting to the Investment Operations Supervisor, you'll act as subject matter expert within the team, providing guidance and training to junior staff, overseeing task and payment approvals, and leading the resolution of operational exceptions.

Key Responsibilities

- Validate and process trade instructions, monitoring and resolving failed trades
- Oversee daily and monthly unit price reconciliations, investigating variances
- Oversee daily cash and holdings reconciliations between internal systems, custodians and administrators
- Monitor and manage cash flows,



including FX requirements
- Act as subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to associates
- Oversee task and payment approvals, and investigate and elevate operational exceptions
- Liaise with custodians, counterparties and fund managers to ensure timely trade settlement
- Complete regulatory and client reporting where required
- Identify and help implement process improvements

What You'll Bring

- Business, Finance or Commerce degree, or other relevant qualification
- 3 to 5 years' funds management or stock market operations experience, ideally from a custodian, stockbroker or funds management firm
- Strong Excel skills, IRESS and Bloomberg exposure a plus
- Proven ability to guide and support junior colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and confident managing competing priorities under pressure
