The Centre for Non-Violence (CNV) is seeking an experienced and passionate Safety & Wellbeing Lead to lead initiatives that reflect our robust commitment to employee wellbeing, safety and success. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of our people by shaping culture, influencing leaders and driving meaningful organisational change.

As CNV's Safety & Wellbeing Lead, you will partner with leaders to build capability, strengthen safety culture and drive initiatives that enhance both physical and psychological wellbeing.

You will provide expert advice and practical support across workplace health and safety, psychosocial risk, injury management and compliance, while leading key organisational processes including incident management, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. Through your work, you will help create safer, healthier and more inclusive workplaces where our people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert advice, coaching and training on workplace health, safety, wellbeing and injury management.
- Support risk management, investigations, audits and compliance activities across the organisation.
- Lead injury management, workers' compensation and return to work processes.
- Develop and implement wellbeing initiatives that enhance employee health and psychological safety.
- Maintain WHS policies, systems and frameworks,



ensuring alignment with legislation and best practice.
- Analyse safety and wellbeing data, prepare reports and provide recommendations to drive informed decision-making.
- Partner with leaders, employees and Working Groups to strengthen safety culture, consultation and continuous improvement.

Skills Experience and Qualifications

- Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline, together with relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing WHS and wellbeing advice, coaching and training.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, including psychosocial hazards.
- Experience in risk management, investigations, audits and compliance activities.
- Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven capability in workers' compensation, injury management and return to work programs.
- Ability to influence leaders, strengthen safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
- Understanding of workplace health, safety and wellbeing in community services, health, human services or not-for-profit settings. (highly desirable)
