The Role

The successful applicant will ideally have the capacity to create a caring, engaging and inclusive learning environment that is responsive to diverse learning needs. You will use a trauma-informed approach to ensure all students feel safe, valued and supported, while applying evidence-based, explicit teaching practices to maximise student engagement and progress. At Carnarvon CC, our contextualised Instructional model CIRCLE, works alongside our PBS framework and Students at Educational Risk (SAER) processes to provide a consistent, supportive and purposeful approach to teaching and learning.

You will deliver the Western Australian Curriculum and have an excellent understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. We seek teachers with strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students successfully. The successful applicant should ideally possess the professional knowledge, understanding, and experience to deliver engaging and relevant Design and Technology programs across Years 7 to 12. You will ideally be flexible, display a strong work ethic, and develop positive, productive partnerships with students, colleagues.





The successful applicant will ideally be a teacher who can engage students and challenge them to achieve their personal best. You should be able to work effectively in a team and independently, while supporting the initiatives and programs in Design and Technology. In addition, you will engage in professional learning and liaise with colleagues, parents, and external networks.

This role primarily involves teaching Design and Technology (Materials and Technology) with the flexibility to contribute across other subject areas.
