Due to a recent internal promotion, we're on the lookout for an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager (BDM) with an agronomy/crop protection background to join our commercial team. In this role you'll be the face in the field focused on creating demand for Nufarm's differentiated product portfolio with locally important accounts in your region.
This BDM role will cover the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and Mid North Territory (location within territory flexible) within the Nufarm SA/WA Region and requires regular travel within the territory and occasional interstate travel. A tool-of-trade vehicle will be provided.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute Territory Business Plans to deliver Nufarm commercial objectives within your territory
- Maintain Nufarm presence and relevance by building, owning and managing local relationships with key customers including channel partners, influencers and growers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other BDMs, Key Account Managers, the Customer Service Team, the Sales Leadership Team, R&D; specialists and the Marketing Team to generate demand for Nufarm differentiated products and provide value to customers
- Ensure compliance with relevant customer and market data through regular utilisation and updating of Salesforce or other CRM platforms
Experience and skills
- Experience operating in a commercial or technical agronomy role within a similar agricultural/crop protection environment is ideal
- Passion for the agricultural industry and a strong understanding of the crop segments in this region
- Technically minded and customer-focused with excellent business acumen
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to develop relationships with channel partners and growers
- Results driven, collaborative and outcome oriented
- Experience using a CRM system (e.g. Salesforce.com) for customer data input, account management and analysis will be highly regarded but is not essential
