Bloom Wellbeing is seeking a graduate Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting the wellbeing and development of children, adolescents and their families.
We are a private Occupational Therapy practice, based in Semaphore and supporting families across the western suburbs of Adelaide. Our unique practice provides client-centred and neuro-affirming paediatric Occupational Therapy services, in a family centred manner. We work alongside children of all ages, from infants, through to young adult.

We're also the developers of the KaBloom Wellbeing programs - Puberty Plus and The Sensaroos - programs which bring unique and novel resources to support everyday challenges for our client community. We're also listed on the Flying Start Pre-School Boost Menu, with services to commence from 2027.
Established in 2013, Bloom Wellbeing currently hosts eight Occupational Therapists, OT Assistants and administrative support.
About the role: Bloom Wellbeing is seeking a creative and curious new graduate or early career occupational therapist to join our team from early 2027. The primary role will be providing a high standard of individual Occupational Therapy support to children and their families, as well as provision of group programs. Services will be provided as a combination of both in-clinic and community based support in children's natural environments.
New graduates will be supported through a structured 12 month recent graduate program, which features a comprehensive onboarding program, weekly 60 minute one-to-one supervision with a dedicated on-site senior OT, and inclusion in weekly 60 minute group supervision with the whole OT team. We also take a structured approach to billable hours attainment for the entire first 12-24 months.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provision of individual and group therapy for paediatric clients at the Bloom Wellbeing clinic and in the community
- Recording of session summary notes
- Assessment of children and relevant report writing
- Writing letters and review summaries and meeting other Medicare or NDIS requirements
- Ongoing liaison with other individuals involved in client care (eg parents, other therapists, paediatricians or GPs, teachers or carers)
- Undertake the provision of group programs for Bloom Wellbeing clients, and be actively involved in the development, preparation, planning and evaluation of group programs
- Participation in team meetings and supervision
- Opportunities also exist to support and collaborate on KaBloom projects
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Essential Qualifications:
- Full registrationas an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
- Eligible for registration as a provider with Medicare
- Eligible for registration as a provider with NDIS
- Current Working with Children Check and DCSI Clearance
- Willingness to obtain own Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Have a current South Australian Drivers Licence and own car
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Excellent time management and efficient report writing skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to engage clients effectively
- Commitment to client centred practice, neuro-affirming practice, play based therapy approaches, respectful parenting strategies and working with children and their families
- Ability to work and manage a caseload independently as well as contributing as a team member
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as an Occupational Therapist, OT Assistant, or OT student experience in a paediatric setting
- Training in modalities relevant to paediatric Occupational Therapy
- Member of Occupational Therapy Australia
- Flexibility to attend some shadowing sessions with current therapists
Start Date: Jan/Feb 2027 (there may also be some opportunity to commence work earlier as an OT Assistant on a casual basis.)
