About the role

As the Deputy Director, Estate Planning & Capital Delivery, you will occupy a pivotal senior leadership role within the Estate and Built Workplace (EBE) Directorate, serving as a primary architect of the University's physical future. This executive position offers a unique dual leadership challenge, overseeing two interdependent streams: Estate Planning and Project Delivery. You will be accountable for a structured pipeline that begins with deep strategic engagement with academic and administrative divisions and culminates in the rigorous management of a diverse capital expenditure program.



By bridging the gap between strategic intent and physical outcomes, you will ensure that UNE's estate is demand-led, financially sustainable, and expertly delivered, reporting directly to the Director, Infrastructure Services.

About you

You are a seasoned executive leader with a proven ability to bridge the gap between high-level strategic vision and technical execution. With extensive experience in capital asset management and project delivery,ideally managing portfolios in the $5M-$50M range,you possess the integrated mindset required to balance long-term estate planning with the rigour of construction management. You are a sophisticated communicator, capable of navigating complex governance structures and translating diverse stakeholder needs into well-evidenced, investable proposals. Most importantly, you are a champion of innovation, ready to lead the adoption of AI and digital technologies in the workplace, all while mentoring a high-performing team in a spirit of kindness and accountability.
