The Company

This specialist firm has been operating for over 30 years, delivering cross-border tax advice and chartered accounting services to private clients, family groups, and SMEs with an international focus. The Role

They are now looking to take on a Tax Manager due to growth (with the option of part-time 3-4 days/week). Be responsible for managing a client portfolio as well as a small team of more junior staff members. An exciting and mixed role offering tax advice and compliance with focus on international tax (training provided). This position offers the opportunity to step up to Director within 18-24 months for the right candidate.

Further Duties

- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare all types of comprehensive financial statements and tax returns efficiently.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain close, proactive relationships and exceptional communication with clients.
- Portfolio & Workflow Oversight:



Manage an independent client portfolio while driving team productivity, workflow, and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking.
- Mentorship & Team Support: Support, train, and guide other team members within a collaborative, close-knit environment.

The Applicant

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification
- Solid experience in business services, including proven time spent in a managerial or supervisory capacity
- Strong interest or background in specialising in tax, particularly with a cross-border or international focus
- Proven management skills, with the track record of supervising work-in-progress (WIP), workflows, productivity, and job turnaround times
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the confidence to manage client expectations effectively
- Ability to support, mentor, and train junior team members within a collaborative environment
- Full working rights in Australia
